Gordon Franklin, the Norwood man who previously pleaded no contest to killing his teenage daughter Danielle with a golf club, was sentenced Thursday morning to 15 years to life in prison.

The judge recommended no option for parole in front of a crowded and emotional courtroom.

The victim's mother, two aunts, an uncle and two Norwood school friends addressed the court.

The judge gave Franklin a chance to speak but he made no comments.

Franklin has never given an answer for why he killed Danielle, her mom said.

"I have nothing to say to [Gordon]. He can't give me an answer, so I have nothing to say to him," Kathie Franklin said.

as being a mother of a murdered child Katie herself was 13, but her murderer commited suicide and thank God for that because if he hadn't there were to many people in this world who were waiting for the chance to due it themselves. But there should not be a cutoff for the age...Murder is Murder no matter how old and he deserves to die a slow painful death, I hope for the sake of Danielle that someone in prison kills that SOB for what he did...as I tell everyone when I talk about Katie, don't obsess with what happened to them, just remember the effect they had on our lives..remember the good times, nothing we can do or say will bring them back, we may not be able to hold them in our arms but we can always hold them in our hearts.....Gina
