Brandon and his mother, Paula Wade, were last seen at their residence at Common Apartments in Valdosta, Georgia on October 14, 2002. They were reported missing when Paula failed to show up for work at Sam's Club and failed to call to tell them she would not be in. One of Paula's coworkers visited Common Apartments twice looking for her. There was no sign of her or her son. Her vehicle, a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer, was still parked at the residence. The child safety seat inside the car, however, had been removed.

Paula's husband has been ruled out as a suspect in his wife and child's disappearances. He is a soldier who was stationed at the Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina when Paula and Brandon vanished. He has passed a polygraph. However, Paula and Brandon's roommate has allegedly been uncooperative in the case. He was asked to take a polygraph test but refused and hired a lawyer. An acquaintance of the roommate's told police where he thought Paula and Brandon's remains might be. When the location was searched, nothing was found but deer bones.

Loved ones of the family say it would be extremely uncharacteristic for Paula to take her son and leave without warning, or to miss work without notice. Her parents maintained weekly telephone contact with her. Paula had been approved for a transfer to a Sam's Club job in Kissimmee, Florida, and her family was supposed to help her prepare to move during the week of her and Brandon's disappearance.

Brandon and Paula are considered endangered. A psychic who was consulted believes Paula is dead and Brandon may be in Colorado. They have not been seen or heard from since October 2002.

Missing since October 13, 2002: Paula and Brandon Wade

Paula (McGrath) Wade and her 3-year-old son were reported missing on October 13, 2002.

Paula , 26, who was employed by Sam's Club, Valdosta, Georgia, didn't show up for work at 7 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2002. Lateasa Hicks, marketing team leader at the store, said that when Paula didn't call work to notify them she wouldn't be in, people with whom she worked became concerned about her whereabouts. Hicks became concerned and sent someone to Wade's residence at Common Apartments twice that morning to find her.

Wade's vehicle, a 1998 Chevy Blazer was still there, but there was no sign of Wade or her son, Brandon.

Police officers responded to the apartment and contacted the landlord. No trace of Wade or her son was found.

Marcus Burroughs, 19, was a roommate of Paula's but has not given the police any pertinent information regarding her disappearance. He refused a polygraph test and invoked his right to legal counsel.

Cedric Bell, an acquaintance of Marcus', was brought in for initial questioning and told officials where the bodies could be found. Only deer bones were found in that area. The family believes he should be brought in for further questioning.

Paula's husband, staff sergeant Lance Wade, stationed at Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, South Carolina, has been cleared of any involvement through questioning and a polygraph test.

Wade's family said they know of no one who would try to harm their daughter or grandson and that it was very odd that they had not heard from her.

"Even one week (without contact) is totally out of character" said her father, Regis McGrath. "We'd speak every Sunday night at 6:30 unless we arranged something ahead of time."

Paula's vehicle was left in the parking lot of her Commons Apartment but the child safety seat had been removed.

Police have concentrated their search on the apartment complex, posting fliers, interviewing residents and searching nearby woods for signs of foul play, but no leads were uncovered.

Paula received an approved transfer through Sam's for a new job in Kissimmee, FL, in October. Her father was supposed to help her move the next week, but she disappeared. Missing work without notice was also very unusual. Paula had worked with the company for five years. "Work and the baby, that was her life" ,said her father.

Paula Wade is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. She has brown/auburn hair and brown eyes. Brandon, 3, is 33-inches tall, 32 pounds, with hazel-blue eyes and brown hair.No other information is available at this time.

Anyone who has information about the location of Paula and Brandon Wade are asked to call the police department's Crime Tip Line at (229) 293-3091 - where callers have the option to remain anonymous - or the Investigations Department at (229) 293-3145..
